New Year is Russia’s biggest festive celebration, rich in history, fascinating traditions and amusing customs. It is certainly the Russians’ best-loved holiday – and, amazingly, in Russia it is always celebrated twice. While the rest of the world is back at work soon after 1 January, the people of Russia get to celebrate all over again with Russian Old New Year on the night of 13 January – New Year’s Eve according to the old pre-revolutionary calendar.
Eventica Communications, the organiser of the Russian Winter Festival, the Russian Economic Forum and the fabulous Russian Rhapsody Charity Gala in London as well as an array of other business and social events, established the Russian Old New Year Gala in London in 2005. The event fast became one of the most anticipated highlights of the social calendar in London, lighting up the normally drab mid-winter with some much-needed Russian style.

The guests will enjoy an exclusive presentation of ‘Team Russia Park’ in London – a unique fanzone and hospitality centre celebrating Team Russia that will be a focal point for Russian and international visitors during Summer Olympics 2012 in London.
The audience at the Russian Old New Year Gala comprises an unparallel mix of Russian, British and European dignitaries, business elite, VIPs and celebrities. Dinner guests will be entertained by sizzling performances from talented Russian artists, including traditional folk music groups and dance ensembles.
