French fraudster arrested in Almería

The man who robbed the bank in Monte Carlo has been arrested in Almería. National Police arrested 50 year old Frenchman, W.F. Jobard, in Almería port as he was trying to board a ship for Nador.

He is accused of banking and financial fraud on a grand scale and faces five years in prison as a result. The authorities in Monaco discovered that his company had been carrying out widespread fraud and that other companies were also implicated in the scams, not just in Monaco but also across the European union.

Spanish police were alerted by Interpol and located the accused at 7pm on December 28th.

He claimed that he was heading to take part in the 2012 Africa Eco Race Rally.
